I've commissioned the machine with 2 axis (1 vertical axis for translation movement and 1 rotation axis to rotate the products). The 2 axes are driven by 2 three-phase asynchronous motors controlled by 2 G120 drives (with EPOS option). My problem is that the 2 motors overheat excessively after 5 minutes of operation (the rotating axis overheats even when stopped) ... even smoke came out once after 15 min. Do you have any idea if it is a position control problem (setting of gain parameters to be optimized), or is it the motors that are not suitable for this type of application with variable speed drive and position regulation? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
