Dear friends,

i Have G120 PM 240-2 drive I am unable reach Maximum RPM  10,000 encoder less controller mode

my motor is below specification

motor volt 200v

freq 50hz

rpm 1470

maximum 10000

what should i change

I am not sure a G120 can overclock 6.8 times.  I think it is prohibited from going beyond 4.

What rpm does it stop at?  ~5880rpm?

If you want a solution, you may need to contact Siemens Support via Support Request, or get a mechanical engineer to integrate a suitable gearbox to double the shaft output speed.

The power module will need to be a 400 Volt device, can you confirm this?

P1080 will be set for 10,000rpm.

Do you have the v/f curve for the motor, torque will be reducing in 'field weakening'?

V/F control will be required, Sensorless vector Control, SLVC or 'Encoderless Speed control' will not apply.

If you increase the frequency to the maximum, the Voltage will increase to 400 Volts.

The impedance of motor windings will increase as the frequency increases; this motor / spindle has a characteristic 200 volts, 50Hz provides 1470rpm.

To achieve 333Hz, 10,000rpm, the increase in coil impedance can be overcome by increasing the Voltage form the inverter to 400Volts.

If the Voltage remained at 200 Volts the increase in frequency, and increase in impedance would reduce the current flowing in the stator coils to a point where the motor will stall and stop rotating.
