G120 VFD Start/Stop using Digital Input with Speed Control via Telegram

Hello Guys,

I need some help on how to control the G120 VSD,

The ON/OFF digital inputs terminal from the VSD is wired through a selector switch (Position 1 = Motor Run, Position 2 = Motor Stop).

The VSD is also connected to the S7-1500 PLC using profinet and I want to control the speed whenever the motor is running through telegram 1.

Is this set-up possible?

Hi,

Yes it is possible but you will have to manually change parameters related to control word to suit your requirement which are set by macro, when you select profinet control during commissioning. Other way is to connect start/stop switch with PLC and change your control word in PLC based on this input.
