G120 with Profinet - can convert it to Profibus?

Hello; You have a G120 with a Profinet CU? Which model exactly? 1. You can change your CU for a Profibus CU230P-2DP, a CU240E-2DP-F, or a CU250S-2DP for example. 2. You can use the IE/PB link as proposed earlier with your existing CU. This application example shows how to program Profibus FBs for the G120, using Step 7 v5.5: SINAMICS G: Positioning a G120 CU250S-2 with S7-300/400 (STEP 7 V5) via PROFINET/PROFIBUS using Safety Integrated (via PROFIsafe) and HMI https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/68109071 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
