Normally if you have only one motor then one DDS is enough. In case of two separate control possibilities 2 CDS are necessary. As the main and addition setpoint parameters are part of the CDS there is no need to have an additional DDS. Of course if some other parameters which are part of a DDS must be changed by using the second CDS then you will need a second DDS as well. Then it makes sense to use the same bit for the CDS (p810)and DDS (p820)switchover as well.
