G120C: Inhibit communication monitoring

It appears when in cut the Profinet communication. With MM440 in Profibus DP it was possible to inhibit the Communication time-out by setting P2040 to 0. I don't find any similarity. In fact, i use two CDS: - CDS0= commands by terminals, - CDS1= commands by Profinet. CDS1 will be standard. In case of Profinet failure, i'll use CDS0, and i don't want the F8501 to appear anymore. Any idea? Best regards.

Theses parameters are for a G120C DP, (not for a Profinet one): With profibus, loosing conection makes F1920 and F7220 appear, and make the G120C stop. With P2100[0] adjusted to 1910 and P2101[0] to 0, no reaction will occur anymore when F1910 appears. And with P2100[1] adjusted to 7220 and P2101[1] to 0, no reaction will occur anymore when F7220 appears. So now, loosing connection won't stop anymore the G120C (dangerous). It now belongs to the API to switch between the two CDS. When the connection is lost, it must use the other CDS. An easy way to do it, is to compare the status Word (PZD1) send by the G120C, with zero. When it is at zero, the connection is lost. Time to switch to the other CDS. I hope this may be usefull to anyone. Best regards.

USING THIS METHOD Yes, you can mask out F30003. Set P2100[x] = 30003 & p2101[x] = 0. Please note, you need to set p2100 index [x] value which is already 0 & corresponding p2101 index [x] to 0 e.g. if p2100[4] is 0, modify it to 30003 & p2101[4] to be set 0. HTH
