Hi, I'm using STARTER 5.3.0.3 to commission the unit with the following procedure: * Standard drive control [1]
I now have persistant faults F30665 & F1665. I tried following the information in this link and upgraded the G120C_PN firmware from 4.7 SP3 HF2 (4706404) to 4.7 SP6 HF5 (4708319) which is now the current firmware, but the problem persists. If I repeat the setup with Standard I/O with analog set[point [12] (no safety) the result is the same. Can you advise if this is a firmware issue and / or a possible solution? I have attached the setting clipboard data. Thanks! Attachmentpost.txt (521 Downloads) |

Hello MattKtek, if the fault comes from the Safety configuration you could try and disable Safety according to https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109757227, chapter 5.6 In case this does not solve the issue, please contact the technical support: https://support.industry.siemens.com/my/ww/en/requests/#createRequest |

Hi Tech Team, In G120C_PN->Control_unit->Functions->Safety Integrated, I reset the Safety Integrated to 'No Safety Function' and power cycled. The faults F30665 & F1665 are no longer present but I cannot run the drive because the device is now in the operating state 'Switching on inhibited - supply STO terminal w/ 24V (hardware)'. See attached screenshots . With nothing to go on, I tried suppying 24V to DI0, then DI4 & DI5, then finally DI0 & DI4 & DI5 to no avail. See attached screenshots. I then upgraded the firmware to the latest version 4.7 SP10 HF5, factory defaulted the device, then recommissioned the device in 'std I/O with analog', reset the safety integrated to defaults, then power cycled. Still the same warning: 'Switching on inhibited - supply STO terminal w/ 24V (hardware)' This was repeated with 'std I/O with analog and safety', still the same. What I cannot understand is why I have the Switching on inhibited - supply STO terminal w/ 24V (hardware) warning when I have selected the No Safety Function in Functions>Safety Integrated? To prove that the above process should actually work, I commissioned another G120C, a 6SL3210-1KE11-8AF1, using std I/O with analog(no safety), with the No Safety Function selected in Functions>Safety Integrated. This device works perfectly and does not bring up the warning Switching on inhibited - supply STO terminal w/ 24V (hardware). |

Hello MattKtek, one last thing: Did you try a factory reset? This could resolve some issues. If this fails to solve the error, it would be best to contact your local Siemens contact or the technical support:https://support.industry.siemens.com/my/ww/en/requests/#createRequest. The FAQ you mentioned in the first post is for the G120 modular -> This is a very strange behavior that it appears on this G120C. |
