gantry axis in simotion

CNCMASTER Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	hello; i use one cpu315-2dp and simotion d425 in my machine and it have z axis with double motor module and double servo motors. is it possible to do gantry axis in simotion?i use gearing on functions but i think it is not true application in my machine. i need your help thanks

CNCMASTER Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	i think i cant explain my problem. details; in my machine there are three axis. 1-x1 2-z1 3-z2 so z1 and z2 must run in syncronise mod.they lift machine table up. is it possible with path object?

Peynet_Jo Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	You can use a Path axis with 2D kinematiks for one Z axis and the X axis. But the second Z axis should be synchronized through a gearing function with the other Z Axis. The problem could be the load which can be different on the two Z axis. If the gearing function is not good for your application, you should manage a load sharing inside the Sinamics part.

Peynet_Jo Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	or else you can use the free kinematik function available inside the Toploading library. This way you can manage your own kinematik. One X axis and two Z axis. But you need to know all the formula for the direct and inverse transformation. But foor a cartesian kinematik that's really easy.
