Dear All Can anybody send any pdf document or sample Step-7 program for communication between 400-H and GE-FANUK PLC. Regards, Ninad |

Hello ninad; The easiest way to connect a GE Fanuc PLC (Rx3i or 90-30, for example) to a S7-400H redundant pair would be to set up the appropriate Profibus-DP module on the GE rack, configure it as a DP-slave, and connect it to the H-system through a Y-Link, using the gsd file of the Profibus slave (provided by GE). With this hardware you can communicate up to 240 bytes In/240 bytes Out between the redundant S7-400H and the GE Fanuc slave. Although I do not have a sample project for this, I can point to a few FAQs on the subject of the Y-Link and on the connection of a S7-300 and S7-200 CPU as DP-slaves to an H-system. The principle is exactly the same, as are the configuration stepswhether the slave CPUs are from Siemens or from another manufacturer. How is the Y link structured? Configuring an S7 CPU as DP slave on the H system using a Y-Link Using a Y link module on an S7-400H system with an S7-200 CPU 215-2DP Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
