Get and display tag comment during runtime

nssdx Regular Member Joined: 5/14/2013 Last visit: 1/17/2023 Posts: 4 Rating: (1)	Hello everyone, Let's imagine the following situation : I have a variable in WinCC linked to a PLC variable "TEST" mapped to whatever address. This PLC variable has a comment "TEST COMMENT". Is there any way to get and display this tag comment in a I/O field during runtime ? I did that in WinCC pre-TIA using the ".#comment" internal tag for each variable declared, but it seems it doesn't work anymore... Many thanks again !

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 15311 Rating: (1893)	Hello nssdx do you use WinCC comfort/Advanced or a WinCC Professional RT? in WinCC Comfort Advanced you can use a Systemfunction to show the Infotext that you define in the IO Field Property. in WinCC Professional RT there its a real tooltip -> so you can see with mouseover -> here you also can use scripts an dynamisations to make the text variable Bye Murof
