Walid Elshazly Posts: 100 Rating: (0)	Hello , PLS I need help in programming GET and PUT instructions , as I can't understand the parameters of this instructions For Example : If I need to Get the memory bits from ( Q0.0 to Q0.4 ) For ADDR_1 : How I can Use absolute address ( Q0.0) , what is the format for this . What is the relation between the adress that i use it in my local PLC and the adresses in the partener PLC I tried to use this formate : P#Q0.0 But still giving programming error

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (120)	The format should be "P#Q0.0 Byte 1" The GET needs to know the starting point, Q0.0 and the number of bytes to get. In your question that would be one byte. I'll name the DBs with the same DB #s in the PLCs involved in the get/put. I name the DBs using sensible names. Then I copy/move data to/from the DBs in each PLC. For example, PLC_1 & PLC_2: DB100, named to_rmtPLC DB101, named from_rmtPLC In PLC_1/2, logic is same: [move QW0->to_rmtPLC.QW0] // note the .QW0 is a tag named QW0 of word datatype in the DB and is simply convenient name] [move IW0->to_rmtPLC.IQ0] To get remote plc's I/O values: from_rmtPLC.QW0.x0 is bit 0 or Q0.0 from_rmtPLC.QW0.x1 is bit 1 or Q0.1 from rmtPLC.IW0.x0 is bit 0 or I0.0 By setting up the DBs the same in both plcs, you create them in plc_1, copy, then paste into plc_2 project, which saves much time. Same for logic used to map data to/from the DBs. Write it once and use it twice. Hope this helps.
