Dear Siemens experts,

I'm normally a Mitsubishi PLC programmer so quite new to Siemens and therefore TIA Portal v13. I'm currently using the GET function to remotely retrieve data from another PLC CPU.

Both CPU's are S7-1200.

I wan't the use the 'GET' function to read the value of a DWord. I've made an datablock [DB3] and inthere is inserted a DWord named DWORD.
Can somebody help as to what I must put at "ADDR_1"?

If my question is not clear, please let me know so that I can clearify!

I'm not familar with programming in TIA Portal but assuming it's still the same function like in Step7 the parameter ADDR_1 has to given the target adress in the remote plc of the data to be read as a ANY-pointer.

In your case this would be P#DB3.DBX0.0 Byte 4

DB3 is the DB-Number, I guess that's clear, DBX0.0 is the start adress in that DB, Byte 4 is the length to be read in Bytes.

have a look in the proberties of your DB3. There you must allow a remote access via PUT/GET.
