Hello!

I have some problems with the GET/PUT-function.

I have used GET/PUT before to transfer 2-3 Bools between 2 PLC:s but now I want to exchange more data between 2 PLC:s, one S7-1200 CPU(1212C) and one ET200SP CPU(1510-SP).

I want to recieve 6 Bool, 2 Int, 5 DInt and 5 Real from the S7-1200
and I also want to send 1 Bool and 1 Int to the S7-1200

Some of the variable exchange works fine but some does not work at all.

The examples i have found here in the forum just shows how to send one Bool from a PLC1 to PLC2 and another Bool from PLC2 to PLC1. Are there any examples that show how you transfer many variables...? Do I need more than one GET-block?

I have 2 Identical DB:s in the 2 PLC:s

Anyone who can help me a little bit? :)

OK, here my ideas:

1.
Use different networks for any call,
it makes an easier documentation and online - monitoring.

2.
Use different variables for Error and Status of all the blocks.
So you are able to find out what error appears.
See online help (F1) for errorcode.

3.
It makes no sense to use so much calls.
Just use one block with all variables you need for sending and receiving.
Perhaps, you send / recieve a complete datablock (if not to large)
See online help (F1) how to address larger blocks.
Remember, it is not necessary to send all bits/integers separately!

Do You have an example of using just one GET block to recieve some Bools, Integers and reals...?

I have tried it but cant get it working, not really sure how to adress it...

I´ve made a new try, using just one GET-block.

Now everything seems to work except the Bool-variables with adresses DBX0.1-DBX0.5...!
DBX0.0 works fine.

I know that the pointer adress at RD_1 is not right, but when I try P#DB15.DBX0.0 BOOL 6 as I belive it should be, it says: "Illegal parameter assignment for RD_1"

It would help you very much if the data was split over x2 DBs. One is the one being received and the other is what is sent. Keep this in mind next time.

The system needs you to define the block that needs to be sent over. Above is a picture shows that there are 40 bytes back-to-back data to be sent. The data type is not important, only where to begin and the size.

The put and get commands in your program shares the same link resource..

Therefore it is a good idea not to clock the put and get at the same time, maybe consider for the one block the negative clock..

The alternative is to set up a new link ID to handle the other communication.

See the recommendations highlighted in the attached picture.

This is how I´ve done.

A little strange thing though. The last Real-variable seems to be rounded…
It´s no big deal in this project, but do You have any idea why it does that?

Review the element count.. remember you count from 0.
... BYTE 45       >>>>>>    ... BYTE 46
