Get tag in OPC UA Server from TP1200

frederico.inese Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello! Could someone help me? i'm searching and trying for a few days and I never get success. I'm using TP1200 as OPC UA Server and a Windows Server with Wincc RT V7.4 as a UA client. I want so get tag in Server from the HMI. I already enabled UA server in Runtime settings in Tia portal (tp1200) and I already fund once in OPC Scout a single variable. p.s. sorry for my bad English, and thanks for all support you can give ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Error connecting WinCC to the OPC UA server.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/25/2025 Posts: 15355 Rating: (1895)	Hello Frederico In foyu use the Comfort Panel as OPC UA Server you have to use the Devicename in the OPC connections adress not the IP Adress. So edit the lmhosts File on the WinCC computer and use the Device Name of the Panel. opc.tcp://Devicename:Portnumber check also if a Ping with devicename works on the WinCC PC. Then lool in the Client and Server Rejected Folders if the other side has transfered a certificate. First i would try without security but still look for certificates!! Bye Murof

I already tried ip address and device name even different names / ip and every time I can easly ping, but never connect as I would like. Attached you can see what is happen to me. In-folder folder in Server nothing appears, in HMI (UA Server) I already move the path. Pictures: 1 -> Enabling the OPC UA Server 2 -> Chossing Port and None protection 3 -> In OPC Scout it can Find and identify perfectly no matter the Security Policy I choose 4 -> After add it, when I´m tryng to open give me the error 5 -> If I insiste, not always give me the same error 6 -> If I try to add to my tags manager (I think this will be my next step) It will find it but do not allow me to add. Buy a software to develop a solution for a client, and during the process of wasting a lot of time, because this software can not do what it should have done is very bad, but this is not bad enough! The worst thing is that the software developer will make us buy the next version because they do not fix their own huge bug in the same version! I am wrong? This problem was solved Updating the HMI to V14, all config was the same as the image attached in my previous post! Once again sorry for my bad english and many thanks for all support!!
