I have installed Simotion Scout V5.1. But I get this fault while its opening "error occurred while reading in the file:
C:\PROGRA~2\SIEMENS\Step7\U7umc\data\wrkbnch\metadata\wbsnapin.xml
unknow error"

what should I do?

Split from Scout 4.2 SP1 Installation Problem .

I have Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I get these error mesaages while I was installing ;

Creating config files failed! Plesae check the log files for details;

C:\ProgramData\Siemens\Autımation\Logfiles\Setup\mkcfgdb???_log.txt

C:\ProgramData\Siemens\Autımation\Logfiles\Setup\hwakatimport???_log.txt

There is no hwakatimport file on log files.

ScoutLog file is on the attachment.

I had the same problem so i reinstalled the simatic step7 V5.6 and than install simotion scout v5.1

The problem resolved
