Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	The way I would do it would be to create a Group Messagewith all my alarms contained in it (or in a series of sub groups). Assign an acknowledge tag and bit to the top level group message. Then on the button have a simple script to set this acknowledge bit to 1 to ack all alarms. NOTE: You can easily set / reset bits in tags using the Dynamic Wizard"Set\Reset Bit" Regards, Salma

I know it's a stupid question but ... when you assign the ack tag to the group msg, you have to also assign the tag bit which defaults to 0. I assume that it's bit 0 that your toggling in runtime ? Other than that, any chance you could knock together a quick sample project with what you've done and post it here? Or detail the steps? I'm sure this one works. I know the Lock Tag is read only but the Ack Tag is definitely read/write. Regards, Salma

In the project, I created a button with a Direct Connection that passed a constant (1) to that tag when it was pushed. When that didn't seem to work, I tried changing the tag to an unsigned 16-bit, but that had no effect.

OR 2) did you create a group message, assign all your alarms to that group and then assign the ack tag to the group? It is the second way that I was referring to in my original post. I don't know if the first way would work or not. Can you try the second way or confirm that you've already done this.

To remove an Acknowledge Tag you should be able to click on the R button on the right-hand side of the acknowledge tag entry field. Have you tried this?

The project you e-mailed me works fine, but I can't see any difference between your project and my non-working project. I'll keep looking though. I'd forgotten about the 'Properties' dialog [:blush:] I'm working my way through my messages nowto remove the individual Ack-Tag in case that is messing things up. The developers of WinCC seem to have opted for the 'skin a cat' approach - there is more than one way to do almost everything. Trouble is, it's that 'almost' that trips up ***s like me onto our egg-covered faces.
