global hmi libraries between tia 13 and tia 11

yach Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I want to share a created HMI library between TIA portal V13 and TIA V11. But when I try to import the library into V11, TIA doesn't find it. If I change the file extension to ".al11" it tries to open it and then and error ocurrs asking for a reboot of the TIA Portal. So the question is if it's possible to share the library between TIA V13 and TIA V11. Thanks, regards.

If you have both V11 and V13 open at the same time, you may be able to drag and drop across the applications to your project tree. From there, you can add to your library. Please post how this works. Going from 11 -> 13 would be easier. Going backwards may be more difficult. If you cannot drag from v13 to v11, you can copy networks or export to text files and import to V11 (depending on what type of block you have). Exporting as text for DB, and STL/SCL blocks is probably going to work pretty well, but I have not tried it. I have copied via drag-n-drop from v11 to v13. Just be sure to copy your tags over first.

If you have your image on a screen and drag the screen over between V13 to V11 project (with both running at the same time right?), does the image transfer with the screen, or just a placeholder for the image? Do you not have the original image? Since what you seem to care about the most is an image, why not use a screen capture program to snag the image with it open in V13, save, and then add to your v11 project. This is not the preferred way, but if this is the only thing keeping you from making progress on your v11 project, this approach will certainly work. Now, I have to wonder if the image you are trying to copy is copy protected and perhaps a built in library image that is not part of v11, so does not transfer. If you are still looking for an alternative for the generic question for transferring global libraries down in Portal Versions, please contact Support Requestand report back any suggestions or tools they provide.

yach Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I've tried to drag and drop and I couldn't. The image is not protected, I want to use the buttons and other screens that I've allready done in V13. It seems like want I to do it's not possible yet. Thank you very much huggy_d1.
