User62719 Advanced Member Joined: 1/14/2014 Last visit: 6/2/2024 Posts: 112 Rating: (1)	Hello, In TIA V12 Sp1 Up 4 professional, I created a number of FB's which I dragged and dropped into a global library. I had no problem copying blocks to and from this library. One day after starting the software and opening the project, the blocks in the library were suddenly greyed out and I cannot copy any new blocks to the library, only drag blocks from it to the project. I can also no longer delete blocks in the library manager. Can someone please explain to me why this is and how to restore the library to its previous functionality? Thanks.

HelloJieve, In general all the read only components are shown with grey background (in reference project / library) in TIA Portal v12 onwards. It is possible that you would have opened the library as read-only. Please follow the enclosed screenshot, 1)click onthe open global library icon 2) remember to uncheck the "Open as read-only" option Now you should be able to add new elements / edit your global library.
