Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	I haven't seen an equivalent function but there are many properties available for message handling. Try a search for "message" in the reference manual below: WinCC V6 VBS Reference Printout of the Online Help

As u know GMsgFunction automatically will gets triggered when a new alarm is generated(only If i select "trigger an action" in alarm message parameter) Actually i want to store all message number and timestamp of alarms from GmsgFunction into another SQL table . I tried to first dump it in a txt file and internal tag and then wrote a VB code for dumping the data from text file/internal tag to SQL, but here there r chances of lossing the data as i found that sometimes the trigger gets missed... Also i am not sure whether its ok to play with wincc's database so hence i prefer to play with own database.. Also if there is any function in C to access sql database then it will be easy for me as i can write that code inside GMsgFunction and can copy the message number and timestamp to my sql table directly.... PLS help me guys!!!!! :

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, You're right, it's not ok to fumble around with WinCC's database!!! Plus any access to that database from any third party software requires an additional license... so only a script wouldn't help you out... But you could check out the WinCC options Connectivity Pack, or IndustrialDataBridge... Using an option to properly access the WinCC database is gonna be the easiest and most efficient way!
