GSD files for IM318-B

Jonah Lau Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Dear all, Could anyone give me the GSD file for IM318-B? I've found one on the siemens online support but I don't know how to convert it to readily useable GSD file for my STEP 7.

KSN Platinum Member Joined: 8/25/2006 Last visit: 10/14/2024 Posts: 2209 Rating: (279)	Hello. PROFIBUS GSD files : ET 200U. Open HWConfig and go to the menu Options-Install GSD file. But gsd for IM318-B is already available in HWConfig, find it in HW Catalog under Profibus DP-ET200U.

Jonah Lau Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hi KSN,Thks for the advise. I've tried that downlink but in vain. Once I clicked on the link it was open to displayits source code. I'm using IBMSoftec S7 and it doesn't have the GSD for IM318-B. So far I managed to find the GSD for IM318-C but my existing remote IO is IM318-B. Pls help. TQ.

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 10/15/2024 Posts: 3024 Rating: (1054)	Hello Jonah Lau right click on the siem8008.gse file in the link that KSNprovided you with and select "Save Target as.." to download it. Thereafter, import it into your DP Master configuration tool and also have a look at the FAQ Coupling ET200U DP (6ES5 318 8MB12) to an S7 master . I hope this helps
