Hello m.shoaib khatana; First, the name of the modifiedfile in notepad (in your second screencapture)is the same (too long) as in the first screenshot. Try saving the file (in Notepad) as "KUPB1.gsd" for example; this would conform to the gsd standard of 8 characters (including the gsd extension) for the file name.Next try to import it againin HWConfig. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/36989329 If nothing else works, the onus of preparing a gsd file that complies with Profibus standards is on the manufacturer of the unit. Youshpould trycontacting the vendor who provuded the gsd file for help? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier Edit: a good friend has just pointed out to me that the maximum length of the gsd name is 8 characters for the file name plus 3 for the extension, as shown in the link I posted myself. Good to know I can still learn a bit... also proves I don't always pay attention to my own post contents! D,C. |
