Hello UMENCHO While youpotentially could use Excel as an XML file viewer, I don't think it is the best choice for the taskand apart from gre_m'smentioned PI's dedicated PROFINET XML Viewer, there are also plenty of other XML viewer/editors available for free (sorry gre_m, uploading PI's XML Viewer would be quite illegal and violate copyrights, but becoming a member of PI has plenty ofother benefits too and may be worth your while) I hope this helps |

Fully agree with you fritz. But there (PI) it seems has a different 'members'. And for ordinary member is not possible to use all functionality of site. This includes software downloads. Almost all of the threads a still locked. At least for me. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

Hello UMENCHO, Hello gre_m true, different membership categoriesdo exist such asmanufacturer, vendor/system integrator, end user, and student/academic,and each category has a different annual membership fee (as you'd typically join PIby joining your RPA (Regional Proibus Association), they'll typically list the membership fees, andin the case of Australia can be found HERE). The student/academic membershipis by far the cheapest one and I supect it is the one you have, as it is the only membership that does not include access to the protected downloads (sorry, don't shoot the messenger). Hello gre_m my question to you is: Why do you think you need to "adjust existing GSDML-file"? Bearing in mind that device certification is mandatory for Profinet I/O devices (unlike for ProfibusDP slaves, where certication was unfortunately optional), your Profinet I/O devices must work and you shouldn't have to touch the GSDML file. If you are developing your own of course, thanyou are definetly well advised to join PI as it is money well invested in your device development (and cheap compared to the development costs, certifcation process etc.). I hope this helps |
