Perhaps you want to add a communications module to your s7-1200 so you can add their S7 subnet ID.  Then you can enable put / get S7 communications to your PLCs DBs as required.

Or, you can set your S7 subnet ID to match the existing subnet ID for the existing s7 network (for PN/IE_1) and then allow PUT/GET to work on the DBs that are appropriate for sharing outside your PLC.

You need to ask more questions or tell us more about the request if the above are not useful answers.

Here the mode IO-Device should be active and some Transferareas configured.

Below the Transferareas is a button "Export" with this you export the GSDML for your S7-1200 Station.

While I freely admit I have not used that feature, I have to ask, how did you know they were using the s7-1200 as an i-Device?  What made you realize this?  Obviously you were correct, but how did you know?

because he say the the customer use Profinet and a different brand PLC.

PUT/GET are for Communication between SIMATIC PLC, the most other PLC use PROFINET-IO and can't use PUT/GET so the I-Device should be the one mechanism to communicate with differnt brand PLC, and here you use the GSDML.

Thank you.  I knew there were things you knew that I did not.

I did not know you could not use put/get except with another Siemens PLC (or LOGO!).  I know we are working on a PC-based application that will communicate via S7 doing PUT/GET to LOGO!'s, S7-1200, S7-1500's, and if possible, S7-200's using SNAP7.

I guess I assumed if we could find a way to do it, others certainly had found a way.

I like learning new things.
