Hi peter.gomboc From your description, it appears that your neighbour wants to The TS module gsm (6gk7972-0mg00-0xa0) is mainly used for remote Servicing / programming of the S7-1200 PLC and not for Remote control / visualisation. check details at : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/44685063/td While cm1242-7 (6gk72-7242-7kx30-0xe0) is a GSM/GPRS Modem module which can be used for Remote control and monitoring using Telecontrol Server software rnning on a remote machine connected to Internet alongwith suitable HMI / SCADA software. o and i forget.. he also has a tc35i module... what if i buy cm with rs 232 port and connect all together?? is hard to configurate tc35i through cm?? |

Hi Theoritecally it is possible to interface a tc35i module with S7-1200 using a Serial communication module. However no sample programs are available and this would need some programming effort on your parts.
