But i would like to remind you that logoanalog inputshave 10bit resolution (they take 1000 "prices"). So be careful if you need preciseweighting. Modules that are connected to a load cellandconvert the load cell signal to a 0-10Voutput, have much bigger resolution. (i don't know the rightenglish term for these modules).

LOGO!Barbarian Posts: 173 Rating: (95)	Hi parekoyy! Unfortunately, loadcells produce VERY small voltage signals in the mV range. A proper loadcell system will have a special module for loadcell inputs. Inside this module is a Wheatstone bridge configuration that the internal electronics will 'balance' and give a reading through to the PLC. The LOGO! CANNOT read in small mV values directly (only 0..10 V DC) and there is NO loadcell module for LOGO!. The ONLY way that I can suggest is that there might be an external 'module' available that does the bridge balancing and converts the reading to a 0..10 V or 0/4..20 mA signal that can then be read into the LOGO!. Then you will have the problem of the 10 bit resolution. The incoming value will only be represented as a value between 0..1000 with maybe some manipulation of the scaling and decimal point display. I wonder if anyone has such a solution already ?!?!?!? CHeers

cdrshort Bronze Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 3/29/2024 Posts: 134 Rating: (16)	in similar case ,i use an digital intstument from Omron ,that have the posibility to receice and filter the singal from load cell-s ,and is full programiable for the outpout. at the same time is also a display,and i have used until now ,in more than 50 packing machines check the manual. But i wonder how does the output signal of the loadcell (max 2mV/V --> 0-10mV or 0-20mV) arrive to the module without disturbances. I was supprised from that fact.
