Hardware Configuration Through Excel in STEP-7

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear All, Is it possible to create Step-7 Hardware Configuration through Excel of Microsoft? It is just an idea becuase When we create hardware configuration into Simatic Manager and we export the hardware configuration then .Cfg file will be created. And if we open that file with the selection of Microsoft Excel then some text with Hardware address, MLFB, Etc is coming in that excel sheet. So My question is that why we should not create some eqation in Excel, So by entering Slot Address, Starting Address, MLFB of the madule & Once we import that file into hardware configuration. The whole hardware will be ready in Seconds Only. This will be helpfull when we are going to work on big project with more then 100 remote I/O are used and we have already generted BOM in Excel then just we have to use that BOM for Our file to import in Step-7 . So By just one click whole hardware will be ready.

And in opposite to take the MLFB numbers from hardware configuration and to say how much cost it. Regards excel I believe that kind of file exist. But is not a public. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
