Nadiya Posts: 42 Rating: (1)	I'm designing a system where one CPU(in the 300 series either 315-2DP or 317) will be communicating with six different HMI (OP panels) controlling six different sections. The DI/DO cards of each section will be present on a different rail specific for each section. The ET-200 stations will be communicating with the PLC. the HMI's will be connected to theET-200 stationsusing profibus. Please guide me if this is feasible.

Actually all sixOPs will be communicated to the CPU and they should be programmed as integrated in STEP7 SW for simplicity. You have to lay a daisy chain profibus cables between CPU, ET200 and OPs. A very important setting you should do to avoid disconnection of OPs, is to modify the default number of Connection Resources / OP in the HW configuration from 1 to 6. Attached picture will help. Hello, Attached file is exacly what I mean. All 6 OPs will have the same CPU in their connection in WinCC flexible software. That what I meant in my previous post.
