JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I think if a software is not released for a particular version of OS, you can not really predict problems you can face. Just because some HW updates got installed does not mean it is not OS problem. But it also does not mean it is a OS problem that caused it. But I think you need to remove all possible causes one by one. Even otherwise it is not a good idea to keep XP SP3 with Step 7 as you are vulnerable to some problem or other. Sometimes you may not even realize that there is problem. For example Protool with XP3 never gave any error message but when the project was downloaded on TP/MP the HMI device started giving errors. So I would stillsuggest to remove SP3.

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	Now, I see what you are saying. Sorry to bring up SP3 issue. But check the SP4 release notes http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/29753194 It says compatible with XP SP2 and PDF says SP3. You want to clarify this with tech support.
