Hello Harvey; The module you show is an 8-channel Hart output module. It is described in this fashion in the Hart module manual: SIMATIC ET 200M distributed I/O device HART analog modules You can connect a field device to each channel of a HART analog module: The module So: the module acts as a monodrop HART master; you can connect one field device per channel (8 in total). You cannot use it in multidrop fashion. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

HelloHarvey, Now you have rephrased your question and I think Daniel's answer was given according to the original form of your question.
The simple answer is no. You don't need additional modules. You can assign the VFD signals to the HART module. In the above mentioned manual you can read, Order number 6ES7332-8TF01-0AB0 Properties ● 8 outputs (current) ● Resolution: – 15 bits (0..20mA) – 15 bits (+ sign) (4..20mA) ● Output type selectable per channel: – Current output with HART – Current without HART – Channel deactivated ● Selection of any output range per channel – 0...20 mA (with HART) – 4...20 mA (with HART) Best regards, H-H
