Hi,

I am currently dealing with a project which is based on communicating S7-1200 1214C DC/DC/DC PLC with PC(Windows 10) via ethernet. The goal of the project is creating a C# based Windows desktop application. I did some research and ended up using S7.Net for this purpose. I have TIA Portal V13.

I have attached a .doc file. I am basically doing the same stuff in the link included in the .doc file. But I keep getting an error  saying "InvalidCastException was unhandled" even though I am (supposedly) doing the exact same stuff in the video provided in the .doc file.

I guess there is something I am missing.

I'm working C/C++, besides all I'm missing probably some instruction which stop your code after WriteLine, simply your application run and so quick close, you don't have chance to see result. Ok, you can make breakpoints every line starting plc connect and rest of code. Then start debug each line and check if all code pass without errors, also look deeply to object's parameters for sure. Only then you can be sure that you probably something missing. Look also to original code what includings (usings) it has on begining of code. Give info.
