Help!! Communication Problems with WinCC

schreyer Posts: 65 Rating: (3)	Hi All, I need help from all the experts in this forum, below is my scenario. My current configuration: Servers: Fujitsu Siemens Primergy RX300 S3 (Windows Server 2003 R2) Clients: Fujitsu Celsius M440 (WinXP Professional sp2) Cpu: S5-155H-948R S5 CP: CP-1430 TF Server CP: CP-1613 WinCC Version 6, Service Pack 4. My Problem: Ihave a total of 6 clients, C1-C6, plus 2 servers, S1 & S2, running on redundancy. C1-C6 are located in six substations(6Sets of CPU). Data of all the substations are collect by the servers andI should be able to view all the readings from all six substations at any of the client. So now, C1 is able to see all six substations' readings upon startup and it run perfectly but after a few days, it fails to see Substation 3's readings. So i restarted the client and the servers, then every thing runs back to normal. But the same thing happen to another client after a few days, it fails to see another substation's reading. Therefore i had to restart the client and servers again to restore it back to normal operation. Then another day, the same thing happens where one or two of the clients fails to see some substation's readings. This lost of communication keep happening over a period of almost 6 months and it no longer can be tolerated. My Question: Why is the above lost of communication happening? What are the possible causes? What can be the root of the problem? Thanks in advance to everyone. Regards Schreyer

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Have you checked your diagnose folder on all systems that mallfunction to see if you can find anything related to your problem? normally you will find a reference that indicates why the communication loss has occurred. with regards, Ikkezelf

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	In your project folder you will find a folder named "Diagnose". In this folder you will find several files which can be usefull, they have a somewhat easy understandable name. If you can't find the problem, zip the folder and attach it to a post in here. There are several people who can and will take a look for you trying to find out the problem. with regards, Ikkezelf

schreyer Posts: 65 Rating: (3)	Dear Ikkezelf, I went through the project folder, the folder exists. Is it only generated when i received error messages? If so, i don't think i will have this folder cause i had never received any error messages. But the problem still occur, irregardless of the error message. Anyway, i am not at the site now. I will go and zip the whole folder and attached it ASAP. Thanks Regards Schreyer
