Help. Control DC motor + Encoder ???

Mr.Luan Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Now i research to control AC motor by PLC s7 300. But i have any problem that i can't solve them. + How do read signal from encoder to PLC to process ? Now i use SFB47, but i don't know i must be write programing at OB 1 or OB40 ?. To set up hardware ? + My project is designed weght belt feeder. If you have as project, can you share to me, pleases ?

Marko Bursic Platinum Member Joined: 9/8/2009 Last visit: 3/15/2023 Posts: 1410 Rating: (146)	I did servo loop many years ago, and if I remember well I used SFB48 for frequency measurement, you get frequency(speed) and counter value (position). I have set up hardware interrupt on end of measurement (you have to set measurement integration time, I think). The you have to put OB40 and your system will cal this OB at the end of a measurement cyclic, now you can run also PID function or kind of regulator yo like it, at the same time on interrupt.

I need count number pulse and measure frequency from encoder,can i use SFB48 to do 2 mission ? Because i read help in Step7 and i see both SFBs have output " COUNTVAL ". Is they simalarity ? Please hepl me. Thank you
