Help! Error occurred for a station of the network master Profibus-DP slave.

bin051 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody! My network system is Profibus-DP master slave network consists of one CPU414-3DP (master) and two CPU313C-2DP (slave). When a slave fails, the whole system stops operating. Everyone help me how to overcom that status. When a station fails, then only that station stops work, other stations normal operate. Thanks!

If so the following FAQ and links contained within it shallhelp you: Which organization blocks do you have to load into the CPU to ensure that the CPU does not go into the "STOP" status when a remote I/O fails? I hope this helps and don't forget that <F1> will get you context sensitve help on each OB.

Reporting a rack failure (e.g missing or faulty IM resp. interrupted connecting cable), Distributed power failure of a rack, Failure of a DP slave in a mastersystem of the bus system PROFIBUS-DP. In S7-400, the OB 86 is called in case of a failure of a non-distributed or a distributed rack. You could look at System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functions (from 57^th page) With regards, Hristo Mihalev

Hello bin05; If all you need is to prevent the CPU from entering STOP mode on a Distributed rack failure, and allow the diagnostic buffer to collect all relevant information on the cause of the failure, then simply create and dowload OB86 to your CPU. No program needed! If you need to process the information contained in the OB86 temp variables, or cause an action to be taken by the CPU when OB86 is laumched, for example generate an alarm message, then you may program this inside the OB86. Please read detailed the information allready given in this thread. If you need detailed information about this OB please have a look at the online documentation of STEP 7. Best regards Sabine
