Hello guys, Question: I don't know actually where to start with PCS7 What do I have: - a factory with all hardware ( one master cpu416-2dp, several S7-300 and severals ET200m modules) - drawings and electrical schemesof all equipment (I/O connections so on I0.0 is connected a temperatur sensor TE3112.) - PLC programs of several units (Plant consists out of different units)that come with their own automation system so for example: there is a drum with a burner which is controlled by a S7-300 plc) -All hardware is connected with each other (profibus) - I have found documentation: CFCof all equipment modules printed outwhen the factory was running (longtime ag) - PCS7 is gone So I want to get started to implement everything in PCS7. I want to do this in steps (one unit at a time) and what can I do best? What can I do with the S7 program? because I have to convert the S7 program to CFC or SFC? Can you give me some idea;s? Thanks |

Well, I think I understand a bit: I had floppy disks with S7 programs on it. I think those programs were created by the suppliers of each package unit. For example: we have a demi water installation by Rossmark and is delivered with a Siemens PLC. But why would they create an S7 program, if the whole factory is running on pcs7? Also, in the beginning, I connected my laptop to the demiwater PLC (s7-300) and I got a program out of it (with a Step 7, 5.4 setup, no pcs7). Could the factory be automated with PCS7 when it was already in operation? But in the beginning, I thought that I needed to add the S7 programs into component view at the corresponding PLC. But I understand know, that the S7 program is created by SFC and CFC editor.]when using PCS7. So, what do I need with those floppy backups?? Don't need them anymore? |

It is not a question of just connecting the CFC blocks.. |
