Hello kisut; Looking foryour part number, the closest I can find in Product Support (or the Web for that matter) is this list, and each one of these seems to be amountingframe, without a CPU or communication processor; they would not need a gsd file. Are you sure that this is the equiment that communicates with the Profibus-DP master? You might want to check the subrack controlers installed in the frame. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Hello kisut; After examination of the Product Support pages above, t seems they are all related to this product: SIPLUS Heater controller SIPLUS HCS716I(the link opens the operatingmanual) So it seems probable that this Siemens product could have been incorporated by Siddel in its blower design. Here is what can be found in this manual concerning Profibus communications and setup: 6.3 Integrating the GSD file For heater control, use the language-specific GSD file "SIEM8113.GSx ". The file contains the configuration of the DP slave. The GSD file can be found on the supplied CD in the directory\Gsd. You need this file in order to perform the PROFIBUS configuration. It is included in the scope of delivery of STEP 7 or COM PROFIBUS. Notice the underlined portion of the quote. Please open the Profibus catalog in HWConfig to display all included Profibus slaves, and search for the HSC7161 slave. You mi9ght have the correct gsd file already. Since you are looking for a slightly different gsd number, you might have an older version of the HCS7161 heater control, for which the gsd file would be in its own companion CD. You would then need the gsd file as an esternal source toi be able to configure it in HWConfig. If you do not have the CD, since the gsd file you request is not directly available, you could start a Support Request (see the link at the top right of this page)explaining the machine you are setting up, the part numbers of the Siemens elements in the housing you have, and asking them to locate the gsd file needed for your project. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
