Hi, Mode '8' on the 7-segment display means there is an issue with the fan/battery module mounted underneath the Simotion CPU. Check the fan is operating and/or the battery module needs replacing.

I have the same problem even the fan is running well and the cf card pretty new.

I even have changed the simotion and got a new one with a new cf card. After power on the same problem occurs. So I did contact Siemens and they told me to check the 24V power supply it maybe not enough. I connected the module to an extern power supply but the same result even you can hear that the fan is running well.

yes, I did see attached file( content.txt) from the card. I also change the simoton module and have the same state. I am working long time with simotion but never had this problem before. I have deleted the user file therefore when we power on simotion put an new user file, but no success
