Help!!! Problem with a encoder

grisos Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi Experts! I have a problem to read the line speed with a encoder. The HW config is a "profibus equidistante:DP"/ “Isocrono mode” with a count module 24V C V2.0 "6ES7 138-4DA04-0AB0C" on a "ET200S". The count is right but sometime the signal begin to oscillate and the speed calculation fails. I have changed the pfb wire; encoder, counting module; all the connectors ... BUT, THE SAME The speed calculation is executed on an OB35 (50 ms) More information: CPU: 416-2 DP Encoder: GI355 A70C335 BAUMER 5000 RPM. nandgate Posts: 319 Rating: (9)	Hello, I faced the same problem a couple of years ago. The cable shield was not connected to the ground. The problem got resolved after the cable shield was connected to ground. Hope it will help. Regards, nandgate.
