Help using PID_compact to control position of DC motor

I need to use pid_compact in Tia portal v13 to control the position of the motor. I have a encoder connected to the PLC to get the current position from the motor. 

However when I give it a value for setpoint nothing actually happens.

Could you please give a link or instructions on what code needs to be used to control position for PID as I can't get it to work.
