Help with firmware S7-1200.

Do you want to change the firmware installed in the plc (cpu) or do you want to change the target plc (cpu) in tia portal so that when youdownload it, the firmware in the project match the plc it is running on? The firmware in the device can only be modified by using a very expensive MMC from Siemens. The target cpu can easily be revised in the device configuration in TIA Portal.. From the device view, right click on the plc and select update device. Then pick the plc / firmware to match the hardware. Compile hardware, rebuild all blocks, download to plc and save.
