Help with Simodrive Posmo a

AutoGen_1076725 Regular Member Joined: 11/16/2020 Last visit: 3/24/2023 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a Simodrive Posmo a 75w that I have some problem to understand how to setup and communicate with the motor Iam using TIA Portal 16 and have tried to use PPO type 1 to set up the motor. I can 'jog' the motor forward/reverse by setting bits in the control word (STW). But I don't know how to set all the P-parameters. For example: P700=2 (position mode) p700=1 (speed setpoint mode) P8=maximum speed

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 3/19/2023 Posts: 3276 Rating: (249)	#1-- Product cancellation was as per Jan. 1, 2017, for SIMODRIVE POSMO A 75 W. #2--As I know you should not use TIA , you need SIMATIC Manager , as POSMO A working as Profibus DP slave in S7-300, CPU 3xx is a Master, see attached picture , You need download "POSMO A USER manual" from Google or in Siemens Web. I am new to PLC programming and didn't know that I should use another program SimoCom A to set all parameters in the motor. When all parameters was set with SimoCom A there was no problem to use Tia Portal and the control word to control the motor.
