Help with WinCC and WinCC RT

El Cochino Loco Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	This is my situation: I am trying to run a compiled WinCC project on Laptop by using a Step7 USB/DP converter for my laptop to connect to a profi network. Back story is that I working in the oilfield as a service rep and I built this really cool set of screens in WinCC to trouble shout the Kenetic Energy Management system of an oil rig. I am *** but hey, we all must start somewhere. Is what I am asking possible or am asking to much? I only found one post from a danish fellow that looked like what I am wonder about. Can anyone help? Is there one of those magic Siemens HTML's that tell you exactly how to do this that I over looked? Rick White "El Cochino Loco"

Achim_P Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hey, try to connect the Laptop to the SPS with Step7. If this is ok then the Network and USB/DP-Converter are ok. I hope you now "Options\Set PG\PC Interface" in Step 7. Then go to WinCC Explorer, under Tag Management\ Simatic S7 Protocol Suite you can configure connections.
