LLiang Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Dear everybody, Now i have a problem,please help. Profibus Communication between main plc and slave plc is ok,no error ,data transfer and receive is ok, but i can't see the slave plc online in main plc programe. why????? thank you!

Since you say taht your Profibus exchanges are working without problems, what kind of situation are you facing? Are you planning to use Step 7 to program the slave CPU while connected to the master CPU (or the reverse)? This is possible, Siemens calls it routing, and it allows a Programming Station (Step 7) to reach a CPU over Profibus, Industrial Ethernet or MPI subnetsThe following FAQ shows how to set routing between 2 CPUs: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16620173 Or were you expecting to actually read the slave's program from the master's? LLiang Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Dear Daniel the datail is this: i have a PC,which is connected with master plc over industrial ethernet.And thePC S7 programinvolve two station ,one is master,the other is slave. i want to read the slave's information in the slave program,but it can't be online.but i can read the data received from the slave's plc in master's station program.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, I think your setting for the PG Routing is not right yet. You will have to add a PG/PC to your NetPro configuration, you have to network it with the right IP Address of your NIC in the PC. After that you have to compile the complete configuration again AND you have to download it to the DP Master PCL to get the SDB 999 set correctly. Than I think it should work. Best regards J_Bell

The master and slave communicate using communication interfaces defined in the hardware configuration; this has nothing to do with PG (programming) functions. PG routingneeds to be setup correctly for you to route the programmer to the slave PLC over Profibus, while connected to the master PLC. This is the routing interface described earlier.
