HHU and rotary switches in S5

Hello I am assuming you are revering toa CNC Hand held Unit. Please advise on CNC Model. You may also find connection Info in the Manual. If youwant to bypass or remove the Hand wheel signal in the PLC please look at the Input byte used for your HHU and remove from the Input Parameter of the FB. Regards / m.f.g

Hello I am assuming you are revering toa CNC Hand held Unit. Please advise on CNC Model. You may also find connection Info in the Manual. If youwant to bypass or remove the Hand wheel signal in the PLC please look at the Input byte used for your HHU and remove from the Input Parameter of the FB. Regards / m.f.g

Anjum786 Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi Yes HHU is configured in cnc vertical lathe machine having siemens 840c control system and S5 plc. according to plc manual in OB1, PB30 is called for HHU and then in PB30, DB10 is called. Kindly tell me the procedure that how i can bypass it or it may be removed permanently? and please tell me whether I have to change setting in OB1, PB30 or DB10? Regards Anjum

In part 2 section 4 and 5 it desribes the HHU. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/13244492 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/13244674 Depending on the Model, you shoul be able to disconnect the HHU and use the "Jumper Plug" to show that the HHU has been disconnected.
