Hi,

How can I hide the alarm view object (when there is no active alarm for instance) ?

I tired using the animation "visible" on the object (with a computed tag from the PLC telling if there is alarms or not)  but it doesn't work. 

I also tried to put the object on the background and set visible or not the object above, but anyhow the alarm view object is always on top.

I'm talking here about the alarm view object you can add to your pages / models, not the alarm window from the global view (I don't want this object on every pages).

Edit: I've made some more tests and found out that the animation "visible" only changes the border of the alarm view object (see screenshot for details).

Dear Joël Golinucci,

klick on the alarm control, open the properties.

Go through "Animations > Visibility" and dynaminize the visibility with your tag.

Thanks for trying to help, but that's exactly what I've described was not working !

Only the border of the alarm view is modified (visible or not) and the whole object stays on top. It more looks like a bug in WinCC Advanced TIA 14. I've tried the same in WinCC Flexible 2008 and it works

Workaround: 

I've used a popup and I've generated a bit in the PLC which becomes true when there is an alarm to display and when the view number matches a certain view.

Then on the change of this bit, I run the following script:

Try compiling the HMI with 'rebuild all' for both software and hardware - it helped me with similar issue.

Unfortunatelly I've alredy tried but it still doesn't work.

Edit: I've also tried to create a blank project with an HMI (TP1200) containing only an alarm view object, with the animation visibility set to use an internal bit and a field to change the value of this bit. The behavior was the same: on bit change, only the border of the alarm object was shown / hidden.

I just did the same thing: created a TP1200, simulated it and got the same result as you.

Then I changed the border thickness to 0 and recompiled (rebuild all)... and it works.

I've tried setting the border thickness to 0 and run without re-compiling everything and the issue was the same. But as you said, when I made a full recompile it was now working.

Kind of a strange behavior form this component. Do you know how it can be reported to Siemens ?
