93Mustang Posts: 65 Rating: (0)	I want to save my press force data for the last 50 cycle in a data block. Using a counter from either 0 to 49 or from 1 to 50 (don't care) as a pointer to the data in the data block. How in STL is this done. From every thing in the forum I've read the examples transfer data to the PLC memory and not the data block. Doesn't matter to me if the data block is an array of 50 real numbers or not. T DBD [#temp] for example.

For example: call sfc20 SRCBLK:=P#DB1.dbx0.0 Byte 156 RET_Val:=#RetVal (temp) DSTBLK:=P#DB1.dbx4.0 byte 156 Regards Zenta

I want to use a counter that would point to an area in the data block and copy the current data to that location in the DB so that I would have a history of the last 50 cycles. I've read many posts about indirect addressing in STL but can't seem to get the data to show up in the DB.

93Mustang Posts: 65 Rating: (0)	Why SLD5 ????? If my counter is 0000 0000 0000 0001 in binary or 1 decimal when I shift it 5 times to the left I get 0000 0000 0010 0000 in binary or 32 in decimal If the goal is to make a 1 to a 4 for the pointer than why not SLD2 ?????

L #cnt lar1 the address register 1 is the cnt th bit form zero. sld 3 = 8 (81bit = the address is in byte) sld 4 = 28(16bit= the address is in word) sld 5 = 48 (32 bit = the adrees is in double word)
