HMI Alarm (KTP 700 Basic)

Hi there, 

I need help on one situation. let say i have few signal may (I0.0 - I0.7) from PLC (S7-1214) and i want to display as alarm at touchscreen. How can i do this? Please advise. I have read some documents & gone through few examples (i did try creating a new project *by referring to the sample but somehow it didn't work for me (may i have missed any steps? Please help me provide the sample link or may the steps for me to follow. I understood from what i have gone through that the i can't only use the data type "int" or "word" but how to this if i want an alarm when there is a change in the input status at PLC. I have searched through the forum, and till now i haven't found any sample related to my requirement. Thanks in advance. Meanwhile i will still look up online in the forum if i can such file.
