I have a similar problem on my project. I want to make a simulation of my HMI (TP1500 Comfort) and when I start it, my HMI and my program blocs aren't communicating with each other. The message I have is: "To many tags (Powertags) have been configured ! WinCC RuntimeAdvanced 2048 PowerTags V16.0".

But when I go in the properties of my HMI, this is said that I have 988 PowerTags active which is far less than the max I can reach.

Do you have a license for WinCC Runtime Advanced V16 in the ALM? If so, how many PowerTags does it indicate (they appear in parentheses in the license itself when viewed from the ALM)?

The simulation of a Comfort panel launches a Runtime Advanced. Therefore, the message you are seeing is normal if you do not have a sufficient license, but it should not prevent the operation or communication of HMI PowerTags.

Then, I believe that if you have a communication problem between HMI-PLC, it would be important to check that the HMI connection is correctly configured, that the PLC is not protected against 'HMI Access', that the Tags are configured as accessible from HMI/OPC, etc...

from the control panel go to set pg/pc interface and confirm that your selection if you are using ethernet connection on your project is s7online (step 7) -> PLCSIM.tcpip.1

I am a newcomer in the SIEMENS Programmation and in automation in general, so I don't understand everything. When I opened the ALM, I saw several licences in my local storage. Therefore, I didn't find the number of PowerTags, so I send you a screenshot of what I saw when I was on the ALM.

For the connection configuration with between the PLC and the HMI, I don't know where I can configure it. I would be gratful if you could tell me where I can check these informations.

On  a windows PC you should go to the control panel (of windows)  there you will find a button named set PG/PC interface . You need to set the PG/pc interface to be s7online(STEP7) -> plcsim.tcpip1 in order to see communication between your blocks and the HMI. Of course another prerequisite is to have your PLC project loaded on plcsim and the " CPU " of PLCSIM to be in run mode.

All this is if you are simulating an ethernet connection between HMI and PLC if you are simulating a profibus connection then you should just pick PLCSIM.profibus1 as your pg/pc connection .

As for the licenses it seems you are missing a wincc advanced RT license which comes with  a number of power tags base on what i saw what you need is a wincc advanced RT (2048) powertags

I found where I can change the PC/PG interface and changed it. However, I can't find my device when I want to link with it, despite the PC is connected in Ethernet with it. The error message is: "The selectionned interface doesn't have any network connexion."

Before I was working with an Intel card Pro/1000 MT interface.

Also, I am using TIA Portal on a VM, and I don't know if that can cause any problems with the ethernet connexion.

Indeed, I hadn't, I didn't understand that I also had to have my PLC in SIM.

But now that I have it there is another problem, my project won't load in my PLCSIM with an error message: "Error in the loading in the unit "A2_PLC"".

from your project settings on TIA portal You need to check the support simulation checkbox.

On the top part of your project tree you see the project name then add device and devices & networks.

Right click the project name go to properties. Then click the protection Tab and tick the support simulation during block compilation.

That should be it for that issue! Please confirm that issue is solved!

But is there any parameters to do on the PLC itself? Because I didn't do anything after it was started.
