HMI connection with slave rack

gnemrak Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	i have a HMI unit with only ethernet port using RJ45. i need to connect it to my slave rack with only PS307, IM 153 and Digital inputs/outputs. it would be impossible to connect it with the main rack which is too far away and the difficulties involved with laying any cables. What options do i have? Are there any modules i can insert into the slave rack to let the HMI communicate with the system? Is it impossible to insert another CP343 module into a slave rack? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank You so much!

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hello, the following information could be found in the manual of CP343-1: Slots 4 to 11 are permitted for the CP in racks 0 to 3 (connected by IM 360/361). The CP cannot be used in an extension rack that is connected via the IM 365! Reason: The required communication bus is not connected to the extension rack via the IM 365. Manual Part B CP 343-1
