MS1981 Silver Member Joined: 4/14/2010 Last visit: 2/8/2025 Posts: 525 Rating: (11)	Greeting, I am facing problem to download program in HMI ktp1000 via S7 online connection. but i have downloaded without online S7 connection using directly connection between PC_PG and HMI via CP5512 please see attached network topology, following warnig message appear in info window when project compile. ,The configured interface operating mode combined with the 'DP' profile setting on PROFIBUS 'PROFIBUS_1' may affect the communication via the S7 connections.,0,1,21:15:01 Thanks. Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/18/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	what happens if you ignore the warning? are you able to download? i think if you download over your PB-net you will of course affect the already established communication because of the additionel network load. but afterwards everything is back in normal state? or ist there a misunderstanding of your question?

MS1981 Silver Member Joined: 4/14/2010 Last visit: 2/8/2025 Posts: 525 Rating: (11)	Greeting, No, in this way we have to interchange the MPI cable every time for download in both devices CPU or HMI. but interface cable should plug in the CPU MPI port only one time and download the program in both devices CPU and HMI via MPI without interchange the cable. see attched network topolgy and following settings. hmi connected on MPI/DP port slot 7X1 Subnet Profibus_1 type of PG_PC interface = CP5512 PG_PC interface = MPI address for HMI = 4 Thanks. Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/18/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	to download with the MPI cable without changing the interface your PG/PC has to know, that he has to route for the accessing of the other device. i guess this is why you added the PG/PC station (as it worked in step7 v5.x) i have a question to your 3.jpg picture: which possibilities do you have as a choice? pls make a screenshot of the "connection with subnet" possibilities. You tried already all? Edit: Normaly you should be able to use MPI communication, then your interface and the PG will select subnet and 1.gateway by his own. (i guess you have to choose identical MPI adresses for PG/PC in project and the real one?)
