Abdel-Qader Silver Member Joined: 1/5/2013 Last visit: 11/22/2024 Posts: 283 Rating: (16)	Hello, I have a S7-1200 PLC with SIMATIC WinCC advanced v12 SP1 and also SIMATIC WinCC Runtime advanced, i want to configue HMI screen in order to monitor and control from those screens. I created a Project with PLC codes and also a device PC systems -> SIMATIC HMI application -> WinCC RT advanced and also create a general IE general module from PC systems -> Communication modules -> PROFINET/Ethernet -> IE general. my questions: 1- do my previous config is correct? (i mean i have to add from PC systems not from HMI) or the PC systems is required if i have an OPC software? 2- if point 1 valid; i can't communicate with the IE module: i used PC IP: 192.168.0.30 IE general IP: 192.168.0.30 PLC: 192.168.0.2 i have created a profinet connection between the PLC and the IE general from devices and networks and add an HMI connection from connections tab with S7-1200 and WinCC RT advanced and use its IP address 192.168.0.30 like the IE general IP address. K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, your config seems to be ok. For communication of wincc runtime advanced and s7-1200 you have to set the pg/pc interface. Open "Control Panel" click on "PG PC Interface" and set "S7 online" to the used network card K!ke

Abdel-Qader Silver Member Joined: 1/5/2013 Last visit: 11/22/2024 Posts: 283 Rating: (16)	thank you. i did that, and the netwok card used at PC (config attached)is done but why when i'm go online the PLC is OK with online mode but when try to access the SIMATIC PC station i got an error (attached). i changed IP addresses to be as follows: PLC: 10.240.18.11/24 PC: 10.240.18.18/24 IE general: 10.240.18.18/24 Attachment PG-PC interface.jpg (298 Downloads)

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, do you like to start the runtime on the pc where you do the engineering? If you do, you can use the button "Start runtime" on top of the tia window, you don't need to download anything. (it's the icon which looks likea play buttn and "RT") if not, you need to change your ip config K!ke
